Julien Donkey Boy is the story of a young schizophrenic named Julien living with his abusive father, athlete brother, pregnant sister, and grandmother. One day Julien stumbles upon a small boy playing with turtles in the woods and impulsively attacks him. Afterwards, Julien drifts back to his day-to-day activities, but his internal struggle with what happened keeps increasing in intensity until the film's shocking and bizarrely transcendent conclusion. Made in Dogma 95 style, Julien Donkey Boy is Harmony Korine's controversial sophomore directorial effort.
